Benguet requires riders to wear visibility vest

Safety First. For motorcycle riders, riding is an adventure and fun, and traveling to Benguet is worth a thrill with mountain views and experiencing the temperate-cool weather.
Planning to go drive up Benguet, be sure to wear a visibility vest or face a stiff fine of up to P1,500 including community service.
The Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Benguet recently passed an ordinance requiring all drivers and riders of motorcycles, tricycles, e-bikes, and bicycles to wear a high visibility vest while traveling along the national highway and on all provincial, municipal, and barangay roads within the province of (Benguet).
The local measure is No 2022-302 known as the “High Visibility Vest Ordinance of the Province of Benguet,” has put a premium on safety, and violators of the local law face fines ranging from P500-P1,500 or community service for three days.
