BAGUIO CITY
The Baguio Water District has completed five deep well drilling projects for this year in line with its thrust to
continually improve its water production and distribution capability. BWD General Manager Engr. Salvador Royeca informed Mayor Benjamin Magalong that the deep wells in Kadaclan, Bakakeng Norte, Balacbac, Camp 7 and South Drive have been 100 percent complete and all, except for the South Drive deep well, are now operational. The South Drive deep well is still for commissioning. Royeca assured the mayor that the target of ten deep wells per year can be easily met this year.
The BWD manager also relayed that currently there are eight ongoing well drilling projects in various stages of
completion: Richwood Subd. in Guisad which is being deepened and now 81.62 percent completed; Kisad parallel deep well, 84.54 percent complete and for commissioning; Ferguson parallel deep well, 72.4 percent complete also for commissioning; Happy Glen Loop parallel production well, 65.6 percent; Slaughterhouse production well, 48.26 percent; Queen of Angels production well, 33.95 percent; Irisville Irisan production well, 26.75 percent; and Ciudad Grande Phase 2 production well, 7.27 percent.
Others in the pipeline are: Production wells at Wright Park and Purok 2 Irisan, Buyog 2, Old Lucban 2, M. Roxas 1
parallel deep well Pinsao Pilot Project watershed area and deepening of Montinola production well which are all for
awarding and implementation by the winning bidders and the Pula stage 2 deep well which is awaiting completion of the requirements.
