CIDG NABS FAKE REAL ESTATE BROKERS IN AN ENTRAPMENT OPERATION

On July 6, 2023 at about 7:00PM, operatives of CIDG Baguio City Field Unit led by PMAJ Jayrol D.
Oribillo, Co, Baguio CFU under the direct supervision of PCOL Reynaldo L. Lizardo, Regional Chief, and CIDG RFU14 acted upon a complaint against alleged fake real estate brokers. Upon assessment, an entrapment operation was conducted that resulted in the arrest of Jessie Lyn Maliones ALiping aka Myra Amislad Santiago and aka Florence Songgadan Lardizabal inside a hotel in Baguio City.

The operation stemmed from the complaint of a buyer wherein the said suspect used falsified documents as proof of the properly they were selling. Suspects kept on demanding the final payment prompting the complainant to sought for assistance from CIDG Baguio CFU who conceived an Entrapment Operation that resulted to their arrest after receiving marked money
amounting Php50, 000.00 and a check amounting Php450, 000 issued by the complainant.

Suspect already received partial payment of the property they were selling however, upon verification by the victim at ROD, La Trinidad, Benguet it turned-out that title of said property was spurious. As a result, Syndicated Estafa and Falsification of Public Documents were filed at the City Prosecutor’s Office against the arrested persons and their 3 cohorts who were now at large.

CIDG Cordillera Chief warned the public to be more vigilant in all of their transactions before they shell out their hard-earned money. Victims of the same incident are being encourage to proceed at
CIDG Cordillera to file complaint against unscrupulous persons engage in these illegal activities.
