City of San Fernando honors 107 outstanding city employees

SAN FERNANDO CITY, LA UNION – The City Government of San Fernando, La Union recognized 107 outstanding employees as part of the month-long Civil Service celebration. Mayor Hermenegildo Gualberto and Vice Mayor Alfredo Pablo Ortega together with the city councilors and Civil Service Commission Acting Director Hedy Jose B. Lardizabal led the awarding ceremony on Monday, September 04, 2017 in front of the City Hall.
There were four award categories: the Loyalty Award, the Exemplary Award, the Commendation for Honesty Award, and the Commendation for Client Feedback Award.
Two city employees were honored for attaining the longest period of employment at the City Government. The loyalty awards were given to Purita F. Suarnaba for reaching 40 years of service and Marlyn S. Cortez for reaching 35 years of service, who are both from the City Health Office.
In addition, five employees who have served the City Government for 30 years, 12 employees who have served the City Government for 25 years, 10 employees who have served the City Government for 20 years, 14 employees who have served the City Government for 15 years, and 22 employees who have served the City Government for 10 years also received Loyalty Awards.
The City Government of San Fernando also granted Exemplary Awards to 10 city employees who exhibited commendable performance, Commendation for Honesty Awards to 23 city employees who showed integrity and demonstrated an act of honesty, and Commendation for Client Feedback Awards to eight city employees who provided outstanding client service.
The City Government of San Fernando, La Union celebrated the 117th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary anchored on the theme: “Tugon sa Hamon ng Pagbabago: Malasakit ng Lingkod Bayani”.
