CORDILLERA REVENUE COLLECTIONS HIT P4.821-B AS OF END-JUNE 2024

The government’s revenue collection for the first semester of 2024 (January to June ) in the Cordillera has reached to P4.821.13 billion, according to the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) central office. For the first quarter , (Jan.
March) some P2.214.20-B was collected while for the second quarter ( April-June), tax collection was posted at
P2.606.93 billion. Per monthly collection summary : January (P1,078.79 B); February (P535.33M); March (P600.08M) ;April (P1.079.13B); May P809.14M); and June (P713.66M).

The Summer Capital, City of Baguio, with tourism and business surging, remained the top contributor for the region,
marked by its first quarter’s P1,020.91B and second quarter P1,233.06B collections, respectively, for a first semester
total of P2,253.97-B. Summary per province (1st Sem): Abra P629.77M; Benguet P778.22M; Ifugao P242.53;
Kalinga and Apayao P639.45M; and Mountain Province P277.19M.
