Dahil sa banta seguridad sa city hall pina-igting

LUNGSOD NG BAGUIO – Dahil sa banta sa buhay na napaulat na tinatanggap ni Mayor Benjamin Magalong resulta ng kaniyang testimonya sa pagkakasangkot ng ilang pulis sa “agaw-bato” at “recycling” ng droga sa pagdinig ng Senado sa Good Conduct Time Allowance (GCTA) ng Bureau of Corrections ay pina-igting ang seguridad sa city hall.
Sinabi ni city administrator Bonifacio Dela Pena na ito ay isang hakbang na pag-iingat upang mahadlangan ang anumang pagligwak ng epekto ng banta sa alkalde.
“As the mayor himself disclosed, a lot of people are now threatening his life and it may also have an effect on our institution he being the mayor. That’s why as our response, we deemed it best to also adopt some measures to secure our place of work, our employees and the public,” ani Dela Pena.
Sinabi niya na ang Interlink Security Agency na siyang nagbabanta sa city hall at kapaligiran nito ay agad rumesponde sa pagpapatupad ng security checks sa mga pumapasok sa gusali.
Nilimitahan din nila ang entry at exit points sa tatlo lamang at nagdagdag ng canine security.
“The threat may or may not happen at all. But at the end of the day, it is the people’s protection that we are concerned here and that is what we are prioritizing with this move,” ani Dela Pena.
“We beg for the public’s understanding on these current security changes which are for the benefit of all of us.”
