DEPED-CAR HOSTED THE 2ND QUARTER ‘KAPIHAN’ WITH FOCUS ON EDUCATION ACCESS, LITERACY, AND LEARNER PROTECTION

Baguio City. On June 18, 2025, DepEd-CAR hosted the 2nd quarter Kapihan with Regional Director Estela P. Leon Cariño, Assist. Regional Director Ronald Castillo, SDO Baguio Superintendent Soraya Faculo, Attorney IV, CHR-CAR, Baguio City Councilor Vladimir Cayabas, and other stakeholders, private school associations, BCPO, and CSWDO. The event tackled education-related issues including initial enrollment for school year 2025-2026, the 2024 literacy rate report (FLEMMS), strengthening the senior high school (SHS) curriculum and its pilot implementation, anti￾bullying efforts in Baguio City schools, the establishment of Baguio City Sports High School and High School for the Arts, and Baguio’s Voluntary Local Review on SDG No. 4- Quality Education.
