Eastridge-Primehomes Team 1 scored an aggregate 554 points (139-158-125-132) to capture its first FIL Championship title while its sister team Eastridge-Primehomes Team 2 finished second in the AM Championship with 518 (114-115-138-151) in the 74th Januarius Fil-Am Golf Invitational here. Jeffren Lumbo scored 35 points anchored Eastridge-Primehomes 1 final round at the short but tricky Baguio Country Club (BCC) course. Lumbo was supported by Rolando Bregente 33 while Jhondie Quibol and Ronel Taga-an eaqch carded similar 32 points. Eastridge -Primehomes ace Quibol was the best scorer in the Championship Group with 146 total points, marked by his record-feat 9-under during the second round at Camp John Hay layout.
Chris John Remata sizzled with 4-under (40), Richard Jason 3-under (39) and Edison Tabalin 2-under (38) led Eastridge-Primehomes 2’s final assault while Gary Sales contributed 34 points. Defending titlist Manila Southwoods GC 1, gunning for its 10 straight titles in FIL Championship flight , finished second with 545 (139-153-124-129) points.Januarius Private Equity 1 ranked third with 512 (149-140-115-108). Over at Camp John Hay, Manila Southwoods Golf and Country Club 2 took the AM Championship title with 525 total points (113-120-150-142). While Batangas Barakos finished third with 467 (122-112-114-119). Zeus Sara led Southwoods GC 2 final 18 holes ,scored 3-under 39 .
He was supported by Zach Villaroman (35) while Rafa Leong and Patrick Tambalque fired similar 34s. Other top individual honors are : Group 1– Luigi Paolo Wong of Camp John Hay GC 1 garnering 146 total points; Grp 2 Jose Carlos “Jacob” Taruc of Forest Hills 2 (115); Grp 3 Dennis Nicomedes of Forest Hills 2 (119); Grp 4 Junel Soriano of Integral (109); Grp 5 Douglas “Doug” Puckett of Green Water Golfers of California (112); Grp 6 Jose Gerard “Gizmo” Asuncion of Royal Northwoods 2 (84); Grp 7 Alban Ayogat Palm Grove (102); Grp 8 Migs Enrile Team Phaos of Uraguns (83; and Grp 9 Ferdinand “Ferdie” de Los Santos of Fil Golfers of Hawaii 2 (83).
