FEARED “SALVAGING” MALE VICTIM DUMPED ALONG CLIFF IN LA TRINIDAD, BENGUET
LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – A naked male cadaver, feared to be a victim of extra-judicial killing, was discovered off a cliff along the Shilan-Lamut Road in Shilan, La Trinidad, Benguet Thursday noon. La Trinidad police said a retired DPWH employee noticed the cadaver some 20 meters below where was taking a leak. He immediately reported
his discovery at a police outpost whose personnel immediately headed to probe. Help was sought from the Benguet Provincial Forensic Unit for technical investigation and processing of the crime scene. No available details were released about the initial probe of the police including initial information about the victim except that it was a male.
Before the May polls, a supposed drug pusher in Baguio named Michael Gatlec, alias “Negro”, reportedly went missing after he was supposedly taken by unidentified men aboard an AUV along Trancoville barangay here around first week of May this year.
