High value individual collared in a buy bust

A high value individual fall in a buy bust implemented by the Baguio City Police Office and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Baguio on January 23, 2020 at around 1:30PM at Pinewood Street, Crystal Cave, Bakakeng Central Baguio City.

The buy bust operation led to the arrest of a High Value Individual identified as Danny Torcuato Galvez, 60 years old, married, jobless, native of San Fernando La Union and a resident of Barangay Bakakeng Central, Baguio City.

Said suspect is also listed under the Re-calibrated Regional Top Ten Illegal Drug Personalities (RTTIDP) of the Police Regional Office – Cordillera (PRO-COR). Galvez sold two (2) pieces heat sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu weighing more or less 10 grams worth P23, 500 to an operative who posed as poseur buyer.

The Buy-bust money and one cell phone used in the transaction were recovered in his possession. Markings and inventory of confiscated pieces of evidence were done on site in the presence of the suspect and witnesses.

Galvez who is now detained at the Baguio City Jail as per inquest resolution faces a case for Violation of Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs), Article II of RA 9165, while the pieces of evidence was brought to the Regional Crime Laboratory Office-Cordillera for chemistry examination.
