Ifugao cops donates financial assistance from their salary to the victims of typhoon

LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – A total of P134,300.00 as financial assistance donated by the Ifugao Provincial Police Office (IPPO) to the families of the victims of typhoon Ulysses in the province.
Regional Information deputy chief PCapt. Marnie Abellanida, the Ifugao Bayanihan called “Baddang Ifugao” banded together and took part by contributing portion of their salary in the amount of P200.00 each to help the families in this time of need.
Abellanida said, these cash donations were personally handed over to the families of the 13 victims of landslides, wherein, 11 were from the landslide in Banaue and one each in Hungduan and Mayoyao, Ifugao.
Also, other cash contributions collected were utilized to purchase rice and assorted grocery items distributed to other people affected by typhoon. On the other hand, intensive search and retrieval operation is still ongoing for the missing person identified as Clever Piog in the landslide area at Sitio Nabito, Banaue, Ifugao on Nov.12.
Relief operations are continuously being conducted through collection, hauling and distribution of goods to the affected individuals and families in Ifugao province.
