Ifugao Records 2nd COVID19 Case

BAGUIO CITY (May 12, 2020) —  Ifugao province had its second COVID19 case Tuesday.

Lamut town Health Officer Dr. Rhodara Montessa confirmed of the second case,  a member of the Coast Guard working at Binondo, Manila.

The patient is from Panopdopan, Lamut and arrived in his hometown on May 1, 2020.

Following LGU and DOH protocols, he was brought to the Tourism Village for the mandated 14-day quarantine.

Dr. Montessa said the patient had cough upon arrival and underwent swab testing.  Result of his test just came in positive Tuesday.

Contact tracing has started.

Ifugao’s first recorded confirmed case on April 26, a 65-year old villager from Poblacion East, also in Lamut town, has since recovered.
