INSTRUCTIONAL SUPERVISION TRAINING UNDER THE SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE ENHANCEMENT OF MASTER TEACHERS ACROSS GOVERNANCE LEVELS

Salpang Elementary School Thirty-nine Master Teachers in elementary and high school in the different district of Benguet Division participated in the three – day training at Asin Hot Spring Pooten Resort, Tuba, Benguet last November 19 – 21, 2024. This training aims to equip instructional leaders with the skills and knowledge needed to effectively oversee and enhance instructional practices in schools; provide instructional leaders with the tools to offer constructive feedback, facilitate professional growth, and support teachers in improving student outcomes; and poster a culture of effective instructional leadership, continuous professional development, collaboration, and standardized supervisory tools to enhance teaching practices and ensure high-quality education for all learners.

The topic discussed on Day 1 are the beliefs on supervision and the changing context of supervision by sir Lucio Alawas, CID – SGOD. Clinical supervision and interpersonal approaches and giving feedback by Ma’am Rizalyn Guznian, CID Chief. On Day 2, Differentiated and developmental supervision was discussed by Ma’am Merlyn Conchita de Guzman, EPS – Science and sir Warden Baltazar, EPS – MAPEH introduced the different observation tools. On Day 3, the Master Teachers were divided into four groups and they observed the teachers in Asin ES, Batuan ES, Nangalisan ES and Tuba National High School Nangalisan. After observation, Ma’am Rizalyn Guznian thought the details to write in the Monthly Instructional Supervisory Plan.

The said training was very substantial and timely essential more importantly to enhance the leadership skills of the Master Teachers. It was a great opportunity to have exposure and experience to be with the model teachers as their expertise and talents are worth emulating. After the said training, with the gained knowledge and skills, the participants must share to their colleagues in their respective school to further enhance the attainment of quality education in our country.
