Investigation in Lepanto Mines

Congressional Committee on natural resources, Peoples Organization, NGOs, DENR and Lepanto Mines staff conduct an ocular inspection and investigation in the suspended Lepanto Mines in Mankayan.

This as DENR’S environmental and enforcement division’s monthly water test on the outtake of tailings storage facility, wherein the water discharged will be infused with Abra River, resulted in .007 ml of cyanide for every liter which is safe on all parameters and standards. Water tests are conducted by DENR’s EMB, MGB and an Australian firm on a monthly basis. Dave Leprozo
