Japanese encephalitis update

Ursula P. Segundo, entomologist from the Department of Health-Cordillera, primarily discussed information about Japanese encephalitis during the Kapihan sa DOH-DAR on September 8 at the Secretary’s Cottage, BGHMC Compound, Baguio City. She said Japanese encephalitis which is transmitted to humans by mosquito bites begins like flu and progresses to a viral brain infection.
