Joemol makes up with own endorsement

Human rights lawyer Jose Molintas was endorsed by the elders in Baguio and Ifugao. “Based on how he leads his life of prudence and simplicity, we are certain that when elected as mayor of the city of Baguio, Atty. Jose Mencio Molintas will continue to be the government’s champion for the masses, and infuse the new and vibrant spirit for government to truly serve the people of the city,” the petition of the Baguio elders said.
The petitioners included Jose Baluda, chair of the Baguio Council of Elders; Evelyn Afidchao, president of Metro Baguio Tribal Elders and Leaders Assembly; Reynaldo Suello, president of the Ivadoi ni Bagiw and Geraldine Cacho, chair of the Tongtongan ti Umili.
“We have great faith that with the inspiring and selfless leadership of Molintas, he can greatly help restore and elevate Baguio to its long lost glory as truly a City of Pines.”
A memorandum of agreement was also signed by Ifugao elders in Baguio naming Molintas as their official candidate for Baguio mayor.
Signatories included Juliet Tayaban, the president of the Baguio-Benguet Ifugao Association and vice presidents Dave Dumangeng and Johnnie Guibong and secretary Lucia Kinnadoy.
