Kalinga LGU employee shot dead
LUBUAGAN, Kalinga – A job order employee of the local government of Lubuagan in Kalinga was shot dead by a still unidentified gunman Thursday night in Sitio Tiwod, Barangay Antonio Canao.
The victim — John A. Lumpao, a resident of Barangay Mabongtot, also in Lubuagan, was rushed to the Kalinga District Hospital after he was
shot at around 7:50 PM but was declared dead on arrival twenty minutes later by the attending physician.
Policemen found two empty shells and one slug of a caliber 45 pistol where Lumpao was killed. A full investigation was launched, police vowed.
