LA TRINIDAD ROTC CADETS DONATE BLOOD TO MARK ARMY’S 127TH FOUNDING ANNIVERSARY

A total of 52, 600 cubic centimeters (cc) of different blood types were collected from 132 Reserve Officer Training Corps Unit (ROTC) cadets from Kings College of the Philippines, Benguet State University (BSU), and Cordillera Career Development College. Philippine Army’s 127th Founding Anniversary with its theme ‘Dugo Ko, Dugo Mo, Alay sa Pilipino ng Bagong Pilipinas.’ The BSU-ROTC Unit hosted the event, one of 200 venues nationwide, in collaboration with various organizations including the 1401st RRIBn, 14th(CAR) Regional Community Defense Group, Dugong Alay, Dugtong Buhay Inc., Saint Luis Sacred Medical Heart Center, and Philippine Red-Cross (PRC)- Benguet.

Participants included personnel from the Philippine Army, Philippine Air Force, Philippine National Police, Reserve Command Philippine Army, Joint Task Group Baguio, regular and reservist personnel, and military dependents led by Group Commander 14th(CAR) RCDG COL Arnel B. Cabugon, BSU-ROTC Chief Clerk SSg Mauro T. Orencia Jr., and NSTP Director Dr. Byant O. Botengan. Based on the PA’s social media platform, the donation drive collected a total of 27,932 blood bags, with 70% allocated for the public and 30% for the Philippine Army, from over 47,000 Army personnel, reservists, and ROTC cadets across the country.
