The people of Mountain Province showcased their rich culture and tradition with the resumption of the street dance parade as one of the highlights of the 56th Mountain Province Foundation
Anniversary and the 16th Lang ay Festival last week. With this year’s theme “Strengthening Communal Capabilities for Cultural Protection and Appreciating Cultural Richness as Instruments for more Resilient and Peaceful Communities,” more than a thousand contingents from the 10 municipalities of Mountain Province paraded along the capital town of Bontoc garbed in their colorful cultural attires and accessories in the street chanting category and the street dance categories for children and mix participants. The local government of Mountain Province revived the street dance parade and competition this year after three years of hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
