Mild quake jolts Sta. Cruz, Ilocos Sur
STA. CRUZ, ILOCOS SUR – A magnitude 2.5 earth quake jolted Sta Cruz town in Ilocos Sur dawn Tuesday (April 11, 2017).
The tectonic-in-origin tremor was located at 17.06 degrees North, 120.11 degrees East and 36 kilometers South of the town.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the mild quake that came at around 3:57am was strongest at 20 kilometers deep.
No damages were reported and authorities did not expect the jolt could bring more aftershocks. Ace Alegre / ABN
