One dead , two hurt in motorcycle collision in La Union

BAGUIO CITY (August 8, 2021)— A rider was declared dead on arrival at the hospital while another rider and his backrider was hurt after their motorcycles collided at around 7:30 PM of Saturday along the National Highway in Barangay Dal-lipaoen, Naguillan, La Union.

The fatality is  Sanny Boy Saculles, 42, from Barangay Baraoas Sur, Naguilian, La Union.  The other rider is Christopher Landingen, 27, from Barangay Dissoor, Bauang, La Union. The backrider of Landingen was not identified.

According to the Naguillan police, Saculles on board his motorcycle was heading East while Landingen was heading West.

Landingen claimed before policemen that he overtook a tricycle but smashed with Saculles.

Saculles and Landingen and his backrider suffered multiple injuries and were rushed to the Naguilian District Hospital.

Landingen according to the police was drunk.
