PANAGBENGA FESTIVAL STREETDANCE, FLOAT WINNERS BARED

The Baguio Flower Festival Foundation, Inc. (BFFI) announce that the Saint Louis University Center for Culture and the Arts won first prize, while the Infrastructure and Enterprises Zone Authority (TIEZA) and Zaparita won in big and small float category,during the main events of the Panagbenga Festival last February 26-26 in Baguio City. With the theme “A Renaissance of Wonder and Beauty” SLU dancers once again presented a culture and tradition entitled MAN-APIT,
the Ibaloi term for harvest, which they performed in through street dancing and showdown competition in the festival category which they won P200,000 cash prize.

Also in festival category, Tribu Rizal, of Rizal National School of Arts and Trades, Rizal, Kalinga placed second with P100,000 prize and University of the Cordilleras, Baguio City win P70,000 for
third place. In cultural category, Saeng Ya Kasay Cultural Ensemble, University of the Cordilleras,
Baguio City, win first prize of P100,000, followed by Uggayam Turayan Cultural Group, of San Vicente, Baguio City win P70,000 and Labban di E-lagan Indigenous Peoples Organization, Laban,
Sabangan, Mountain Province win P50,000.

Baguio Central Elementary School decared as champion in drum and lyre competition with P150,000 cash prize, followed by Tuba Central Scholl, of Tuba, Benguet win P100,000 and third Josefa Cariño Elementary School, Baguio City with PP70,000 prize. The Infrastructure and
Enterprises Zone Authority (TIEZA) float who carried Actor and Senator Lito Lapid with his son Mark Lapid was presented as champion in the big floats category with P500,000 cash prize.
Avilon Zoo and SITEL-Philippines floats wins as second and third place with acash prize of P300,000 and P200,000 respectively.

In small float category, Zaparita Garden declared as champion with P250,000 cash prize, while Mang Inasal win P150,000 as second place and Province of Benguet floats win P100,000. The announcement was made by the BFFI during the Kapihan sa Media on March 1 at the Session Road in Bloom event area, while the awarding ceremony will be held on March 5, before the closing of the
month-long celebration of Panagbenga Festival 2023.
