“Preferred Partners of Choice” is the theme of the Philippine Red Cross Stakeholders Forum last May 12, 2017 (Friday) at Strawberry Valley Hotel tapping government and private entities to improve the services of Red Cross. Blood down? In order to meet the needs of public, we have to look for resources, managing the funds wisely, said ex-Governor and former chairman of PRC-Benguet Nestor B. Fongwan. Because we may not realize yet, though we might not be the direct patient in need of blood but it might be our siblings, children, and anybody related to us.

Well Red Cross Benguet Chapter with the leadership of Administrator Oscar G. Paris wishes to be a Regional Blood Center of the Philippines, visioning to meet the challenges and services of rapid delivery of humanitarian services to public until year 2020. Donating blood and paying for your membership is not the only way of imparting ourselves as Red Cross members but may we also be knowledgeable of its other services like in hygiene promotion, first aid, rescue team, blood test, high blood test, sugar blood test, and etc… However, not all of us can donate right? So we might as well be a member for us to easily access blood.

Now Kadungngo-dungngo, in the Bible (KJV) James 2:19-24, “Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead? Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar? Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect? And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the friend of God. Ye see then that by works a man justified, and not by faith only.”

Kadungngo-dungngo, in a Christian song Bury My Heart has its lyrics, “Lord who will feed their empty soul? Bury my Heart on a mission field Lord, I give the Gospel to the suffering one, I go wherever you want me to go, Lord just Bury my Heart”. No one is perfect indeed, but you could if you would. A little effort can gain more help from the others if the work is pleasing to God. On July 23, save life and join the Philippine Red Cross Million Volunteer Run this 2017. With your help Kadungngo-dungngo, blood is no longer a problem and help is faster than you thought. And we can do these because as we always say “Ti panagtinnunos nga agtrabaho, mangiturong iti panagprogreso.
