Pasadang Pambarangay goes to Fairview

In the continuing commitment for the immediate delivery of service to the public especially among those who have less in life and living in poverty, the City Mayor’s Office thru its Special Services Division has once again implemented its Pasadang Pambarangay program this time in Fairview Barangay at their covered court.

For almost twenty years the Pasadang Pambarangay, in close partnership with DZEQ Radyo ng Bayan and linked with the various offices and agencies in the city as well as various volunteer groups, have succeeded in delivering free services to the less privileged residents of the various communities in the locality.

Fairview barangay is no different.

A multitude of residents eagerly waited in line to avail of the various free services offered by the Pasadang Pambarangay through the following agencies/offices/volunteer groups: (a) free dental services by the Pines College of Dentistry supervised by Dr. Genesis Centeno utilizing ten dental chairs, (b) medical services supervised by Dr. Jose Bugayong Jr. and Dra. Ana Mae Mendoza of the Saint Louis University Sacred Heart Hospital and the private medical group of volunteers led by former City Health Officer Dra. Florence Reyes, (c) free blood sugar count supervised by medical nurse Miel Turingan and Barangay Kagawad Pura Manuel of Dizon Subdivision Barangay, (d) free family planning advice and assistance by the Family Planning Office of the Philippines (FPOP) led by Baguio-Benguet OIC Elaine May Becaca, (e) the Department of Science and Technology supervised by Mr. John Philip Tacdoy, (f) Phil-Health benefits and assistance personally provided by its Regional Vice President Atty. Jerry Ibay, (g) TESDA through its Supervising TESD Specialist Roger Dancel, (h) the Commission on Human Rights led by Marlyn Palangdao Training Specialist IV, (i) free optical services provided by Dr. Cynthia Salinas (j) care and maintenance of LPG equipment provided by John Dipasupil of MJ Gas Corporation, (k) free medicines supplied by TAISHO Pharmaceuticals through Teresa Marciano and (l) free hygiene products distributed by Megasoft Hygienic products thru Ana Marie Bunag.

With the City Mayor’s Office thru its Special Services Division and led by Mr. Noel Mabutas, Community Affairs Officer IV, the successful implementation of the Pasadang Pambarangay in Fairview Barangay is a testament to the enduring, sustained, and committed partnership and cooperation between the local government unit of Baguio and the private sector in bringing vital services to the people right at their doorstep.

The City Mayor Honorable Mauricio Domogan has time and again exhorted the benefits derived through the continuous implementation of the Pasadang Pambarangay which ultimately serves as a channel through which the city government can speedily deliver vital services to the people.

Finally, after the successful conclusion of the Pasadang Pambarangay in Fairview barangay the CMO-SSD is already gearing up and preparing for the conduct of the program with the venue this time at the covered court of Sto. Nino Barangay at Slaughter Compound. The Pasadang Pambarangay on April 27, 2018 shall cover barangays under District VII.
