PASKO SA KAPITOLYO 2022 RADIANCE: REFLECTS INCLUSIVE, APPROACHABLE, ACTIVE PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT, KAPROBINSIAAN

SAN FERNANDO, La Union – Sparkling lights. Jubilant shows. Ecstatic hearts. Kaprobinsiaan can now
again enjoy the lights and shows in the Provincial Capitol as the Pasko Sa Kapitolyo (PSK) 2022 came to light during the opening ceremony on November 27, 2022 attracting 28,638 total visitors on the first night. Gov. Raphaelle Veronica “Rafy” Ortega-David cited the different wishes and suggestions of kaprobinsiaan
this Christmas and emphasized that these served as the basis of the Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) in planning for this year’s PSK activity line up reflective of her people centered governance.

Among the different suggestions of kaprobinsiaan adopted by PGLU were Snow Fall; Christmas Bazaar;
Fireworks; Christmas Décor/ Village in different towns in La Union; Gift giving to Senior Citizens, Single Parents, Persons with Disability, and Indigenous People. With these suggestions, the PGLU will also conduct the Pasko Mula Sa Puso wherein Gov. Rafy will lead the bringing of public services and
Christmas treats to all 20 component local government units of La Union.

In her message, the Governor committed for an inclusive, approachable, and active Provincial Government, “Gusto kong maramdaman ng mga tao na pinakikinggan natin sila, na ang mga hinaing
ninyong aming mga kaprobinsiaan ay nakakarating po sa amin dito sa Provincial Government of La Union. Nais ko na kaysa kayo ang lumapit sa Provincial Government of La Union, kami po mismo ang lalapit sa inyo. Kaysa kayo po ang lumapit sa governor, akong governor mismo ang lalapit sa inyong lahat. Ganitong
Provincial Government ang gusto ko para sa inyong lahat.”

The Governor also announced the adoption of La Union of a more modernized service rendering while pushing for a sustainable province through digitizing the availing of government services in the PGLU, as she asked for the public’s participation when individual profiling will be launched, in the spirit of La Union PROBINSYAnihan. Among the other activities conducted during the opening program were Cutting of the
Ribbon in the PSK Welcome Arch; Paradang Probisya; Performances by the Baggak Choir and Namacpacan Community Dance Group and Instrumentalists; and Fireworks and Snow Show. The Pasko Sa Kapitolyo 2022 with the theme Liwanag ng Pasko, para sa atin at sa inyo will be open until the end of the year.
