SAN FERNANDO, La Union – With an aim to amplify and develop the education system in the province, the Sangguniang Panlalawigan Committee on Education, Culture and Arts chaired by Hon. Cynthia Angelica M. Bacurnay conducted a legislative consultation cum on-boarding meeting with its counterpart
chairpersons on committee on education of the municipal councils of each component LGUs on September 02, 2022 at the Provincial Legislative Building and Session Hall, Provincial Capitol, City of San
Fernando, La Union.

The said legislative consultation served as a venue to share the best legislative practices in education in the province and discuss the status of educational-related and enacted ordinances per municipality including the information dissemination strategies of provincial ordinances related to education. The lady legislator emphasized the importance of sharing good legislative practices between the Sangguniang Panlalawigan and the local legislative to share their identified educational programs, best practices
ordinances and exemplary local governance related to education that are worthy of emulation.

BM Bacurnay expressed her gratitude to all the attendees and ensured that this should not be their last meeting as activities like this, provide an avenue for them to discuss what is better for the good of the
province in fulfillment of #LaUnionPROBINSYAnihan especially for the implementation of programs that will benefit the educators and learners towards the continuous development of education sector in La Union.
