The Philippine Information Agency-Cordillera Administrative Region (PIA-CAR) emerged
as a finalist in the DILG-Local Government Academy (LGA) Capacity Development Accelerator Game Changer Awards. PIA-CAR Regional Director Helen Tibaldo with DILG-CAR Regional Director Araceli San Jose received the plaque from LGA Executive Director Thelma Vecina at the Manila Hotel during the Capacity Development Accelerator Awards on December 12, 2023.

This recognition celebrates PIACAR’s outstanding contribution as a crucial partner in addressing the needs of local government units, fostering local governance excellence. The DILG-LGA highlighted PIA-CAR’s role in bridging communication gaps, emphasizing the importance of aligning information and technology. According to DILG-LGA, PIA-CAR plays a key role by providing capacity building for government communicators, ensuring they possess proficient technology skills for effective information dissemination.
