QUIDMAS SHINES IN DEPED COMPETITION

Jomelyn S. Quidmas, a Grade 6 teacher at Buyagan Elementary School, secured first place in the Division Gawad Theodora Alonzo 2024 7th Storybook Writing Competition (Category 1 – Grade 4). The event was held at the Schools Division Office of Benguet in Wangal, La Trinidad, Benguet, as part of the 2024 calendar year activities. Her innovative storytelling and unwavering commitment to promoting literacy earned her this prestigious honor.

In addition to her success in storybook writing, Quidmas was recognized as a finalist in the Search for Outstanding Employee for Public Elementary Master Teacher during the 8th Service Excellence for DepEd Officials and Employees (SEDOE) Awards Ceremony. This recognition celebrates her outstanding contributions to education and her dedication to fostering young learners.

The awards ceremony took place at Venus Park Hotel on Kisad Road, Baguio City, where Quidmas was honored alongside other exceptional educators and DepEd officials. Expressing her gratitude, Quidmas remarked, “My achievement is also the achievement of the school.” Her accomplishments stand as a beacon of inspiration for fellow educators and students, emphasizing the profound impact of creativity and dedication in shaping the future of education
