Behold the beauty of Towing Falls

SABLAN, Benguet- The potential natural attraction of Towing Falls will become a reality as Mayor Alfredo Dacumos,Jr. on Thursday bared plans to further develop this natural wonder. The Falls is located in Sitio
Towing, Barangay Poblacion ,a few hundred meters away from the town’s municipal building some 30 minutes away from Baguio City. “Our town is blessed with picturesque sites such as Towing Falls-tapping its beauty and it’s splendor could lift our town’s tourism industry,” Mayor Dacumos said who led local officials in a simple but meaningful program, marked with a native ritual, signaling the re-opening of the site.

For two years, the site was temporarily closed to public due to Covid-19 pandemic. Mayor Dacumos likewise expressed optimism that it’s tourism potentials could generate local income that could finance priority projects such as health, social services, education, among others. Topping the facilities to constructed as part of the overall site development plan include- comfort rooms, foot bridge, parking area, cottages, souvenir shops, and garbage collecting area. Dacumos stressed that safety is a main concern, this early, he instructed department concern to be always on alert, ready to respond to emergency cases.
The local chief executive also expressed his gratitude to Lenneng Clan for providing access leading to the waterfalls.
