San Fernando City, La Union sees ECQ on October 1

BAGUIO CITY (September 27, 2021) – San Fernando City in La Union through its City Inter-Agency Task Force Against Covid-19 (CIATF) is looking at placing the city under ECQ on October 1, 2021 the moment the Provincial Government of La Union and the Regional IATF gives a nod.
This after the city recorded its first case of Covid-19 Delta Variant on September 25, 2021.
The City’s Comprehensive Contingency Plan for the Covid-19 Delta Variant has been activated, and all of the key members of the City Covid-19 Technical Working Group has been instructed to fast track the arrangement and preparation of all logistical requirements for the heightened lockdown restriction including the provision of relief goods and quarantine passes, as well as coordination with barangays and affected establishments and offices.
The City Government of San Fernando is reminding the residents to adhere strictly to the “APAT DAPAT” health protocols – Air Circulation, Physical Distancing, Always wear face mask and face shield, and Time interaction should be lessened to 30 minutes.
The City Government warned the residents that Covid-19 Delta Variant is more contagious and easier to spread. “Let us make sure that #SanFernandoTayo is safe from this bigger threat by taking care of ourselves and making intensified precautionary measures,” the city’s advisory stated.
The residents are also reminded to register in the vaccination log and get vaccinated.
