SUSPECT WITH WARRANT ARRESTED FOR VIOLATION OF RA 9262

BAGUIO CITY – On Monday, December 7, 2020 at around 1:00 PM at Pantal, Dagupan City, Pangasinan joint police operatives of Baguio City Police Office Legarda (PS-5) led by PCPT RALPH G DAYAG, Dagupan City Police Station and Other Police Units arrested CHRISDINE ARENAS FUNG, 22 years old and a resident of said place.
The suspect was arrested by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by Hon. MIA JOY C OALLARES-CAWED, Presiding Judge of RTC Branch 4, Baguio City for a case of Violation of RA 9262 (AN ACT DEFINING VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN AND THEIR CHILDREN) with recommended bail of Php40,000.00 for his temporary liberty.
The suspect committed said violation against his live-in partner sometime on October 2020 at their rented apartment along Military Cut-off, Baguio City by assaulting, strangling and banging the head of her live-in partner against the wall causing physical harm to the complainant.
The arrested suspect was brought to Dagupan City Police Station for documentation and posted bail that was deposited at the Office of the Clerk of Court at RTC First Judicial Region Branch 4, Dagupan City, Pangasinan for his temporary liberty.
