Vigan City Buys Hotel For COVID19 Quarantine

BAGUIO CITY (June 8, 2021)— The City Government of Vigan City in Ilocos Sur acquired a hotel to beef up it to its quarantine facilities.
According to Vigan City Councilor Kirsten Figueres, the city government was prompted to buy Hotel Collado as they lack quarantine and isolation activities.  She said the city council approved the purchasing of the hotel through the Council Committee on Finance.
The said property was bought by the city for P20 million.  It will serve returning residents of Vigan City who will come home when the situation will ease up.
Meanwhile, Vigan City Juan Carlo Singson Medina remind the residents ro continuously adhere to health protocols.   He said the the health care system is overwhelmed and the two existing isolation facilities are reaching full capacities.
The mayor appealed to the people to do their part not to overburden an already burdened defense system.  “The premium you place in your health and safety now will give yout the future you envisioned to happen,” he said.
