Safeguarding public health and protecting the environment. La Trinidad known as ‘ Salad Bowl and Strawberry Capital of the Philippines’, through its land banking ,accumulated some P40 million earmark for the expansion of its sanitary landfill located in Barangay Alno. Residents in the area and nearby community (Bahong) support the solid waste management initiative but it should be within the 9.8-hectare present location. Mayor Romeo Salda ,who vows to finish the project reports its final assessment is underway.
