Benguet police will soon improve their mobile patrol capability.
Benguet caretaker and Anti –Crime and Terrorism Community Involvement and Support (ACT – CIS) partylist representative Eric Go Yap assured the 13 towns will receive new patrol vehicles from the Philippine National Police (PNP).
Yap said the PNP earlier committed to turn – over four mobile patrol vehicles and two ambulances for the province.
However, the solon said police servicing Benguet needs to have their own patrol vehicles due to their wide area of coverage.
“Maganda naman and respond ng PNP na bubuoin yung 13 at sabay – sabay dadalhin dito sa Benguet para i-turn over sa mga chief of police natin,” said Yap.
Yap, aside from improving Benguet’s health care system, has also been intensifying the anti-criminality and anti-drug operations in the province after personally funding the purchase of the drones which was turned – over to the 13 chiefs of police in Benguet.
The solon added more support will be given to Benguet police this year.
“Sa tingin ko, etong 2021 eh talagang maraming biyaya and darating sa ating probinsya,” Yap quipped.
