Elusive drug pusher falls

Agents of PDEA Cordillera nabbed one of its regional target listed persons in a buy-bust operation late last night in Middle Quirino Hill Baguio City. The suspect was identified as Troy John de Luna, a 22 year old second time offender of the same case who was caught in 2021 by the police but was acquitted. Last night he sold approximately 1 gram of suspected shabu to an undercover agent and was later frisked in his possession additional 2 more sachets of suspected shabu estimated to be 0.5 grams and assorted drug paraphernalia.

Investigation disclosed that the PDEA made several test buys but the suspect escaped several attempts because he used his motorcycle to run and elude the arresting officers. This time his motorcycle was confiscated for evidence. The suspect will be facing charges of violations of sections 5 and 11 of Section 2 under the Dangerous Drug Act of 2002 as revised by RA 9165. PDEA is awaiting the result of his drug test pending the filing of the cases. He is now detained at the PDEA
custodial center at the regional office.
