Another Abra Mayor Tests Positive For Covid

BAGUIO CITY (April 5, 2021)—Yet another Abra town mayor testws positive of Covid19.
Pidigan town mayor Jopeph Domino Valera admitted Monday afternoon his rt-pcr test laat April 3 came out as positive.
Valera, younger brother of Abra governor Ma. Jocelyn Valera-Bernos,  said over his FB account that he underwent rt-pcr test on Saturday due to a close contact with a Covid19 death victim.
Mid March,  the mayor’s sister— Abra Gov. Bernos also went public to announce she contracted the virus.
Mayor Valera said he is symptomatic and is undergoing home quarantine.
He strongly advised those who have been in contact with him for the past 7 days to take extra measures.
Contact tracing is ongoing.
“Kadagiti nakadkadwak naasitgak for the past 7 days, please submit yourself to your RHU for PCR testing and please isolate yourself,” the mayor urged.
He also asked for your prayers not only for him “but for all of us”.
“For those who still don’t believe that the virus is real, Im telling you it exist and that we all have to be careful. Please take care of yourselves. Covid is real.”
Earlier last week too, Dolores town mayor Conde Turqueza also admitted he contracted the virus,  while another town mayor (who refused to be named) tested positive of Covid19.
Abra congressman Joseph Sto Niño Bernos also earlier tested positive of the virus and underwent home quarantine.  He said he is recovering from the dreaded illness.
