BENGUET RULES BOY’S, GIRL’S SECONDARY SHOT PUT EVENTS

Ryla Jones J. Petel of  Benguet, demonstrated outstanding talent to rule the shotput in  secondary boys division the 2025 Cordillera Administrative Region Athletic Association (CARAA) Meet at the newly rehabilitated Benguet Sports Complex, here. Petel had  remarkable throw of 12.20 meters for the gold. Christian V. Bayle of Kalinga earned the silver medal with a distance of 11.45 meters, while Zachary W. Lawio of Baguio City secured the bronze with a mark of 11.07 meters.

Ayesha W. Olas also of  Benguet triumphed in the secondary girls’ division, earning the gold medal after an impressive throw of 9.57 meters. Jeshine T. Siblag of Mt. Province secured the silver with a distance of 8.63 meters, while Roshelle D. Nayaoa of Apayao claimed the bronze with a throw of 8.55 meters. The elementary division was also filled with exciting performances from young athletes eager to showcase their talent.

Bastian Mac-Mac T. of Ifugao  got the  gold medal with a throw of 8.76 meters. Ahezer L. Ancheta of Tabuk City earned  the silver medal with a distance of 8.66 meters, while Roger Kynn M. Suaya of Benguet took the bronze with a mark of 8.59 meters. The girls’ division displayed a powerful performance as Benguet’s April Thea P. Cariño secured the gold medal with an impressive throw of 8.62 meters. Nerica L. Umayao of Ifugao followed closely, earning the silver with a distance of 7.99 meters, while Sarah Jen D. Lira of Kalinga claimed the bronze with a mark of 7.91 meters.
