While these activities have their merits, they should not overshadow the importance of reading at home. Reading is not just a pastime; it is a fundamental skill that lays the foundation for academic success and lifelong learning. One of the primary reasons for the lack of emphasis on reading at home is the perception that it is a chore rather than a pleasure.

Many children view reading as a task assigned by teachers, rather than an enjoyable activity. This mindset can be changed by introducing children to books that cater to their interests and hobbies. Whether it’s a graphic novel, a mystery series, or a fantasy adventure, finding the right book can spark a love for reading that lasts a lifetime.
