INSPIRING CHANGE AND UNIT IN BAGUIO CITY DURING NATIONAL CRIME PREVENTION WEEK

On September 5, 2023, the dedicated personnel of the Baguio City Mobile Force Company (CMFC), led by PLTCOL RENNY D LIZARDO, Force Commander, organized an impactful outreach program
at the Open Gym, Brgy. DPS Compound, Baguio City, in commemoration of the National Crime Prevention Week, guided by the theme “Addressing Crime and Advancing Crime Prevention at the Local, Global, and National Levels.”

The program was blessed by Pastor Elmer Collado, FBL, who enriched the event with his insights into KASIMBAYANAN, emphasizing the importance of community involvement in crime prevention. Following this, a series of informative lectures were conducted, focusing on topics such as anti-illegal drugs and anti-criminality. These sessions aimed to provide attendees with valuable knowledge and tools for crime prevention.

In the spirit of fostering a sense of unity and togetherness within the community, a series of fun
games were organized, bringing smiles and laughter to the participants. As a token of appreciation, a Chess Board was given to the participants after the games. Notably, the outreach program extended its support to the youths currently under reformation progam at BAHAY PAG-ASA, under the guidance of Miss Florecita Tulan.

The participants were touched by the heartfelt gifts distributed, which included tshirts, slippers, deodorant, and cash. This successful event would not have been possible without the unwavering
support of the DPS Compound’s barangay officials, led by the esteemed Punong Barangay Arnel Del Monte. Their commitment to community welfare and crime prevention has been instrumental in making this outreach program a resounding success.
