The Division of Benguet conducted Festival of Talents – Phase 2 in Edukasyon sa Pagpapakatao (EsP) and MADRASAH Education Program (MEP) in celebration of the Filipino Values Month last November 21, 2024 at SDO Adivay Hall, Wangal, La Trinidad, Benguet. The theme for the celebration is “ Magagandang Kaugaliang Filipino: Isabuhay at Payamanin Tungo sa Matiwasay at Maunlad na Kinabukasan”. The objective of this activity are to advocate and strengthen the practice of Filipino values; provide male and female learner-participants with equal opportunities to discover, develop and display their talents and skills; increase learners” confidence level to prepare them for higher level of academic challenges, and increase collaboration between and among teachers, parents and guardians.

Part of this celebration was the conduct of contest activities in Tagisan ng Talino and On the Spot Composition
Writing both in elementary and secondary learners and Interpretative Dance in Secondary only. The Salpang Elementary School lone representative, Marivic L. Cario, a grade 6 learner bag the First Place in Tagisan ng Talino Key Stage 1 and 2 among the contestants from the thirteen districts of Benguet. She will represent Benguet Division this upcoming Regional Festival of Talents in EsP. Cario ‘s achievement brings pride to Salpang ES and an inspiration to the other learners in the school likewise a motivation to the teachers to have more competent learners for the school years to come.
