SK kagawads bigyan ng civil service eligibility – Sen. JV Ejercito
ITINUTULAK ni Senador JV Ejercito ang pag- amyenda sa Sangguniang Kabataan Reform Act of 2015 (Republic Act No. 10742), o SK Reform law, nang sa gayon ay mabigyan ng Civil Service Eligibility ang mga SK kagawad.
Sa Senate Bill No. 2185 na inihain ni Ejercito, sinabi nitong hindi kasama ang mga SK kagawad sa listahan ng Elective Barangay Officials na puwedeng bigyan ng first level eligibility sa ilalim ng Civil Service Rules.
Sa Civil Service Rules, ang Barangay Official Eligibility na katumbas ng Career Service Sub-professional Eligibility ay isang pribilehiyo na ibinibigay sa mga opisyal ng barangay, kabilang ang SK chairpersons.
“The proposed bill seeks to grant the same, if not more fitting privilege to SK kagawads, recognizing them also as barangay elected officials,” sabi ni Ejercito.
Ang Career Service Sub-professional Eligibility ay angkop sa first level positions sa gobyerno o job positions katulad ng clerical, trades, crafts at custodial service.
Nagpahayag naman si Assistant Secretary Victor A. del Rosario, commissioner ng National Youth Commission, ng suporta sa panukala ni Ejercito.
“As always, we view Sen. JV Ejercito as our ‘youth champion’ in the Senate and we thank him again, particularly for this bill that recognizes the hard work and commitment of our SK officials,” sabi ni Del Rosario.
