The importance of School Partnership

Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.” – Helen Keller This was reinforced by the study of Little, Wimer, & Weiss, 2008, whereby they stated that partnerships can support student outcomes. Last August 22, 2019 different government and non-government agencies of Loakan community attended the preparation for crafting of School Implementation Plan (SIP) at the same time conducted the Vision Sharing.
The said activity was spearheaded by School Principal, Helen C. Acop and was participated by the Barangay officials of Loakan Proper, Apugan, Liwanag, religious sectors, Police Station 4, PTA Officers and students.
Through the vision sharing, the stakeholders shared and expressed their dreams and aspirations to grow and succeed as a school and community. The participants shared thoughtful goal and desires to achieve successful, performing, God fearing, child friendly, value laden school and community as a whole.
Vision sharing is vital in the crafting of School Improvement planning process. Clearly it needs to reflect the unique issues and characteristics of each school community, including the unique needs of the learners which are the heart of learning.
To contribute to this goal, the school worked with all stakeholders in the community to develop and pilot a shared school improvement planning process that includes parents and specially pupils.
Truly partnership with community- and faith-based organizations to support learning is increasingly recognized by the school, these partnerships are essential efforts to expand when, where, how, and what students can learn (Little, 2011).
