TWO DEAD AS SMALL TRUCK DIVES INTO IRRIGATION CANAL IN KALINGA CAPITAL

Two villagers were killed while four others were hurt after the double cab elf truck they were riding dived into the irrigation canal at Purok 6 Tuliao, Barangay Calanan in Tabuk City, Kalinga early
Thursday morning. The fatalities were identified as Edwin Capuyan and Jayson Bang-ay Quinio,
both from Barangay Agbannawag, also in Tabuk City, while those hurt were: Cesar Abalos Camtugan; Marlon Masedma Kis-ing; Jaymay Bistacion Badillo and Daniel Casim Cudal, also all
from Barangay Agbannawag.

Victim Camtugan was the driver and owner of the truck. According to the Tabuk City police, the victims left Barangay Agbannawag at 5:00 AM Wednesday heading to Manag, Conner town in Apayao. An hour later at Purok 6, barangay Tuliao, Camtugan lost control of the steering wheel at the road’s bend prompting the small truck to fall on its right side then slid towards the irrigation canal.
