Young NPA Guerilla Facing Frustrated Murder Raps Caught In Kalinga

A 26 year old New Peoples Army guerilla facing frustrated murder charges was caught Thursday morning right in his village in Kalinga. Jerome Calsiyao, alias “Ka Dennis”, allegedly operating under the Kilusang Larangang Gerilya (KLG) AMPIS (Abra-Mt. Province-Ilocos Sur tri-boundaries) was served a warrant of arrest for frustrated murder at sitio Payyanga, barangay Basao, Tinglayan at around 10AM Thursday by policemen from the Cordillera regional office and local policemen.
Last week, communist rebels under AMPIS ambushed Philippine Army troopers in hinterland Lamag, Qurino town in Ilocos Sur killing a soldier from a single sniper shot in the head and wounding another.
It was not revealed however if “Ka Dennis” was with the NPA guerillas in that ambuscade last week in Qurino, Ilocos Sur.
“Ka Dennis”, considered as one of the “Ten Most Wanted Personality” in Kalinga for the third quarter of 2018, did not pitch up a fight with policemen, said Cordillera police director Brig. Gen. Rwin Pagkalinawan.
“Ka Dennis” though could buy his temporary liberty by posting a P200,000.00 bail bond.
