BAGUIO COPS JOINS BRIGADA ESKWELA 2022

BAGUIO CITY – As the new academic year approaches, the Baguio’s Finest took part in the Brigada Eskwela efforts being carried out in various schools throughout the city. The Brigada Eskwela program, with this year’s theme
“Tugon sa Hamon ng Ligtas na Balik-Aral,” began on August 1 in all public elementary and secondary schools across the country.

It is an annual activity spearheaded by the Department of Education in which everyone in the school community, including the private sector, works together to prepare schools for the official start of classes on August 22, 2022.
In support of the activity, PCOL GLENN D LONOGAN, BCPO City Director, mobilized its personnel to assist in the
clean-up drive, repairs and improvements of classrooms and school facilities. The purpose of which is to provide
incoming students with a safe, clean, and conducive learning environment.

Other personnel were also organized to provide security coverage to deliver public safety services and to
implement various crime prevention programs of BCPO, focused on the Enhanced Managing Police Operations to
maintain peace and order in and around the schools (COPs on the School). PCOL. Lonogan also stated that, the BCPOs participation in “Brigada Eskwela” activity is intended to strengthen the partnership between the academe and the police in promoting an education friendly, healthy and secure opening of classes ahead of the start of the faceto- face classes this school year. “Aside from security duties, this is also part of the organization’s contribution to
community service and one way of upholding the Spirit of “Binnadang”, a bayanihanpractice in the Cordillera, PCOL.
