Missing 70 Year Old Apayao Farmer Rescued From Rampage Of Ramon

Rescuers successfully located a 70 year old farmer who was reported missing for several hours after being swept off by the rampaging waters of the Umnay Creek in barangay Daga, Conner town in Apayao on Wednesday at the height of the onslaught of typhoon Ramon.

Victorio Corpuz was found safe by rescuers after over an hour walk from sitio Caglayan, also in barangay Daga. Corpuz was reported missing by his son after he reportedly visited his ricefield at the height of the typhoon Wednesday in Apayao.

Conner town disaster management officer Albert Bacuyag also said at least 251 families or 1,066 were affected from his hometown. They were evacuated to schools and gymnasiums and relief goods have already been distributed.
