SPORTS VERSUS EXCELLENCE

Julia L. Bangcado

Sports cultivate wisdom! A deep passion for the game fosters not only enjoyment but also the pursuit of excellence, often culminating in prestigious gold, silver, or bronze medals. However, being a sport-minded individual transcends the mere quest for medals; it embodies principles of discipline and a fervent commitment to one’s craft. Despite facing challenges such as class suspensions that hindered training, the Kibungan delegates distinguished themselves by outperforming several other districts in the overall rankings. The elementary team achieved remarkable success, securing 11 gold, 8 silver, and 9 bronze medals, ultimately earning them a commendable 3rd place in the elementary division.

Meanwhile, the secondary delegates garnered 4 gold, 19 silver, and 23 bronze medals, resulting in a respectable 7th place overall in the secondary category. Collectively, Kibungan District achieved an impressive 7th place out of 14 competing districts. This year, our medal haul notably surpassed last year’s BPAM performance. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the MLGU for providing our uniforms and generous food support, to our donors and sponsors, and for the transportation assistance facilitated by the PTA federation, particularly through the efforts of retired teacher Sir William Alodos
