10.7M worth of Marijuana plants was again scorched into ashes

CAMP MAJOR BADO DANGWA, La Trinidad, Benguet – Following the recent destruction of P2.2 million worth of Marijuana plants last Tuesday, another 10.7 million worth of marijuana was again eradicated in the province of Benguet on November 25, 2020.
Three marijuana plantation sites with an estimated land area of 13,070 square meters were discovered by the drug operatives of Benguet police at Sitio Legab, Kayapa, Bakun, Benguet. Said
land was found planted with an estimated 52,200 fully grown marijuana plants and 2,500 marijuana seedlings worth amounting to P10,740,000.00.
All uprooted marijuana plants were burned on site and only samples were brought by the operatives for evidentiary purposes.
For this month of November, Benguet Police Provincial Office (PPO) conducted seven marijuana eradication operations. During the operations, 71,083 fully grown marijuana plants and seedlings with a total estimated Dangerous Drug Board Value of P13,816,600 were uprooted and destroyed. PROCOR’s consecutive successful marijuana eradication operations are the result of the continuous intensive anti-illegal drugs operation in the region to attain a drug-free Cordillera.
