7 PMA cadets charge for murder, 5 others for 4th class Dormitorio’s death

BAGUIO CITY —Dexter Dormitorio filed criminal cases of violation of anti-hazing law, anti-torture and murder on seven PMA cadets for the killing of his younger brother Cadet. 4CL Darwin Dormitorio.

He also tagged Darwin’s tactical officers as accomplices of the three cases. Dormitorio, accompanied by his legal counsel John Adrian Bonifacio and BCPO Police Colonel Chief Allen Ray Co literally waited for the last minute to file their 34-page case, crossing the street from the BCPO to the Baguio Justice Hall to meet up with Fiscal Edwin Bryan Sagsago at 5 PM.

Dormitorio also filed a case of dereliction of duty against three doctors from the PMA Station Hospital. “I would like to tell my brother, This is just Part I of the battle. We will not stop hanggang hindi napapanagot ang lahat,” Dormitorio said.

“This is what our family wanted: an airtight case,” he added. Those charged are Cadet Third Class Shalimar Imperial, Felix M. Lumbag Jr., John Vincent Manalo, Julius Carlo Tadena, Rey David John Volante; 2nd Class Cadet Christian Zacarias and 1st Class Cadet Axl Ret Sanopao.

The tactical officers named in the case are Major Rex Bolo, Tactics Group senior tactical officer; and Captain Jeffrey Batistana, the tactical officer of the Echo Company. Their cases are more of omission, said Bonifacio, The three doctors are Colonel Cesar Almar Candelaria, the commanding officer of the Philippine Military Station Hospital, Captain Flor Apple Apostol and Major Ofelia Beloy.
