CITY ACCREDITS DAY CARE WORKERS ORGANIZATION

BAGUIO CITY

Mayor Benjamin Magalong signed city council resolution no. 722, series of 2023, accrediting the Baguio City Day Care Workers Organization, Inc., a duly registered entity with the Securities and Exchange Commission with office address at the Baguio City Hall Child Development Center. The move is pursuant to the provisions of the Local Government Code of 1991 and its Implementing Rules and Regulations, and pertinent memorandum circulars of the Department of the Interior and
Local Government.

The accreditation is coterminous with that of the Local Chief Executive. In its 4th Indorsement
dated Oct. 26, 2023, the august body’s Committee on Appropriations and Finance, Cluster C (Investments, Public Indebtedness and Bond Flotation, People’s Organizations, NonGovernment Organizations, and matters of general concern), recommended the accreditation finding the said applicant to have sufficiently submitted and compliant with all requirements.

The approved measure states that the organization is now eligible for selection as a member to the city’s local special bodies and to sectoral or functional committees of the Local Development Council in accordance with guidelines set thereto. It directs the organization to submit to the local legislature its annual accomplishment reports and financial statements on or before the 20th day of
January of every year.
